It’s no question that we live in a tech-savvy society driven by digitally connected interactions. Social media has popularized the hashtag movement and there are new trending topics going viral each day. There are a ton of apps I use everyday, but I’ve condensed them into three basic categories that can apply to everyone.
As well rounded ladies, we should familiarize ourselves with current events and stay abreast to the news just as much as the number of likes we got on our most recent Instagram post. Being aware can assist in developing our own opinions and help chart the course to be the kind of change we want to see. I try to read CNN headlines every morning for hard news reporting, but my newest favorite section is ‘GPS for the Soul’ published by Huffington Post.
2) Personal Finance
Money matters. Mint is the newest addition to my personal app library and it’s amazing. I think of it as personal finance made easy and simplified. You can link it to your bank account and it does wonders by providing a pie chart of your spending habits and categorizing each purchase every month (I’m a visual learner). Other features include financial advice, alerts, bill reminders, investment information, and saving goals.
I’m a music junkie and there’s nothing worse than hearing a popping song and having no idea how to find it. Problem solved! Shazam allows you to instantly identify music with a single screen tap and the tag is stored for your reference. I’m constantly updating my Spotify playlists with fun finds from Shazam and the beat goes on!
Now go ahead and download away! If you know of some great apps for me to try, send us an e-mail at info@PoshPoisePolish.com.
