Each season a new set of trends is unleashed to take the fashion and beauty world to the next level. It can be a new got-to-have-it pair of heels, edgy haircut, popped lip color, or all of the above! So, how do you step up your style without breaking the bank? The simplest way (and my favorite) to keep up with the trends is the colors! Playing with seasonal shades is a great way to stay current on a budget.
You can update your wardrobe with colored pants, tops, shoes even accessories … but why stop there? Why not add some of these trendy colors in your make up?
My favorite color for summer 2013 is mint green! I would be lying if I didn’t reveal that my love affair with this shade started this spring and just happened to roll itself into my summer makeup repertoire.
Mint is one of those colors that is bright enough to count as a pop of color, but not so loud to make you look like you belong in a circus.
I have three looks to share with you, if you want something more subtle or something that airs on the dramatic side.
Well let’s get started!
Instead of always using a nude or white liner on your waterline, why not try a bit of mint? Nars larger than life eyeliner in barrow street is a great place to start!
This mascara is very opaque on the first coat, my recommendation on how to wear this mascara would be to use it only on the bottom lash line or on the very tips of your upper lashes.
Keep your make-up minty fresh under the warm sun with this twist on a hot summer trend!
